The new experience about the summer school

Yale University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, is a place where history blends seamlessly with modern life.Yale’s architecture tells stories of the past. Walking around, I admired the grand Harkness Tower and the detailed carvings on Sterling Memorial Library. These buildings have been around for a long time and reflect Yale’s rich history.

At the same time, Yale has modern buildings like the School of Management and the Art and Architecture building. These buildings are very different with their glass walls and modern designs. They show how Yale combines tradition with innovation.

Living in the dorms was a big part of my experience. At first, it was a bit intimidating living with people I didn’t know. But over time, we became close friends. We studied together late at night and explored New Haven on weekends. These shared experiences helped us bond and made Yale feel like home.

One of my favorite memories was exploring New Haven with my dorm mates. We hiked, visited bookstores, and enjoyed local cafes together. Whether we were talking about books in the common room or playing sports.

  1. Thank you for sharing your experiences so generously and so articulately. I'm particularly happy that you enjoy architecture because I'll ask you to help lead a group when we learn about the Collegiate Gothic style.
